A "Real Man of Genius" - August 22, 2006
It's been WAY too long since I busted Bill about the inactiveness of his blog so here goes.
I'm sure you've heard the Real Men of Genius commercials by Bud Light. Well Bill has two in his honor.
If you know Bill you know these describe him perfectly! ;)
Dancin' Dad - May 8, 2006
And you thought you'd NEVER see Bill Dance.
Bill Being Bill - March 26, 2006
This was just too funny. It cracks me up everytime I see. No explanation needed except Bill being Bill...
Getting my Digs in - March 16, 2006
Roni has been on me for not posting so I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone. Appease Roni and show up my Dad. Last weekend I got to play my first round of golf this and took 6 bucks off my old man with a blistering back nine of 3 over pair.
That's all for now, check back with me in three months.
Comment from Mike on 3/17/2006 6:31:15 AM
Lord Roni, Your blog tyranny is too much for us mere mortals! Run, run whilst you still have the life in your legs!
Comment from Andrea on 5/8/2006 8:46:15 PM
Im not familiar with 3 over pair in golf - i think you are getting it mixed up with poker
Bill's Quote of the Week - January 24, 2006
So Bill and I are hanging out last night and this actually came out of his mouth...
"OH! Skating with the Stars is on tonight!"
Comment from Deb on 1/25/2006 7:13:44 AM
HAHAHAHA. Chris says that every week, and watches it too... he he Deb
Comment from Carolyn on 1/25/2006 2:15:44 PM
hahahahaha! Today he was singing Frank Sinatra songs in the elevator. What is wrong with him?
Comment from Bill on 1/25/2006 2:34:57 PM
Ask Roni about her American Idol obsession.
Comment from Mom on 1/26/2006 7:11:00 PM
This love of skating probably stems from his ice skating outings with the family when he was little. Yes, he did have the double-bladed skates! He's always loved Frank Sinatra, especially "My Way".
Comment from Todd on 1/29/2006 2:26:14 AM
I'm hooked on American Idol too. I think it all started with William Hung. I think he's doing porn now.. not sure?
HA HA Bill really is 30! - December 22, 2005
Ok, look below, see the last time Bill posted? That's crazy! So I decided to take matters into my own hands. As you all know yesterday Bill turned 30. That's right the big 3-0! On the other hand, his lovely, young wife is only 29! She has 6 MONTHS to rub in the decade difference. Now this will only happen a few times in their life time so she is living it up! Right now Roni is in her 20's and Bill is in his, that's right, 30'S!!!
Oh I'm going to have WAY to much fun with this! ;)
So I sought out to find some funny web sites about turning 30 but came across this article. I thought it covered turning 30 pretty well. So I'll save the jokes for when bill settles into his age a little more. Until then this 20something says goodbye.

Is Bill only thirty? I always thought he was way older than that -- sort of like my age!
ND vs. USC - October 17, 2005
Everybody is probably wondering how am I doing after the ND-USC game this past Saturday. So here are my thoughts on the game because 1) I have to get these thoughts off my chest and 2) Roni and Gerri will stop bugging me for a blog entry for at least 2 weeks.
- That game might have been the best football game I have ever seen. Without a doubt it was the best Notre Dame game in a long long time. Great game, crappy ending!
- Reggie Bush is the greatest college football player I have ever seen. Every time he touched the ball my heart stopped beating. If he doesn't win the Heisman it will be a travesty. In fact, if he doesn't win the Heisman that award should never be taken seriously again! Even the Rocket (gasp!) doesn't compare to Bush.
- The 4th and 9 play makes me wince every time I think about it. You can't fault Wooden because he was right there. The pass just got through and that's that.
- After the 4th and 9 the ending was blur. I think a lot of people are complaining about calls and non-calls. From my perspective, the refs called the ending correctly. It was bad luck that Leinart fumbled the ball out of bounds and you just can't throw a flag on Bush for assisting Leinart into the end zone. I haven't seen that call in years and to let a call like that influence the outcome of that game would be terrible.
- Number 4 will be the last time I ever discuss the last 2 minutes of the game ever. I mean it! Don't even attempt to bring it up!
- The crowd and atmosphere looked awesome. I don't think it has been that loud in ND stadium ever.
- I love this Notre Dame team! They went toe to toe with one of the greatest teams in college football history and lost by a few inches.
- I love this coach! Going for it on fourth down from your own 29! He knew they needed to score there or it would have been a blowout. I loved that call. Excellent game plan. He knew the only real defense against their offense was to keep the ball as long as possible. The team executed the plan almost flawlessly.
- Seriously, when was the last time a Notre Dame team, needing a touchdown, drove the length of the field for the score. In fact, you can argue that they were too effective on that drive and left too much time on the clock! Just an awesome drive. Brady, Jeff, everybody played great. I think I blew out my speakers playing the Victory Clog when they scored.
- Overall, I am taking the loss pretty well. The loss was tough but I wasn't devastated. Seriously! I'm okay! Co-workers have been coming up to me today and offering me condolences like a family member has just died. Like Coach Weis said there are no moral victories, but Notre Dame played great and I think they earned some respect nationally.
- Knock on wood, I think Notre Dame has a good chance at winning out the rest of the season. If they lose again(most likely Tenn.), I will be devastated.
GO IRISH! BEAT THE COUGARS!
Comment from Roni on 10/17/2005 2:12:23 PM
I was there when he watched the game, and he did take it quite well. They played good and it was a fun game to watch. GO IRISH!
Comment from Carl on 10/17/2005 4:39:48 PM
I didn't think it was possible that both Penn State and Notre Dame could lose on the same day. I was severely distraught, but was comforted by the fact that the Flyers won on Friday and Saturday.
Comment from todd on 10/22/2005 11:17:30 PM
It was a great game... Go ND. Go Ravens.
Comment from Andrea on 10/24/2005 9:11:52 AM
I had just got done watching the same edge-of-your-seat game with PSU and flipped it to your game and couldn't believe the same sort of thing was going on. Was going to call Roni to say hi but thought better of it. Glad you are not in a state of depression.
My Second Post - September 14, 2005
Alright. The wife's been bugging me to update my blog, so to get her off my back here is my second entry. Between you and me she might be taking this thing to seriously. Here's a quick excerpt of a conversation we just had in reference to "Ryan's" new entry about the dog.
Me (referring to the use of he to reference the dog): "You know Rudy is a girl, right?"
Wife: "But Ryan doesn't know that."
Me: "He doesn't know what a dinner table is either?"
It's kinda arbitary what he knows and doesn't know in these posts. They are kinda cute though so I'll cut her some slack.
I guess the lack of blog prodcution on my part directly correlates to the boringness of my day to day life. I mean I go to work, play some poker online, watch football, and try to take care of the lawn. That's it. Doesn't exactly require paragraph upon paragraph.
But here is an update on all four fronts:
- Work is fine.
- Poker is fun.
- Go Irish! Big wins to start the year. Michigan State scares the crap out of me.
- Lawn kinda died on me this summer. I am in restoration mode for the fall.
Oh yeah! I am also doing that fathering thing from time to time which is great!
I'll post again soon (December sometime).
Comment from grandma gerri on 9/17/2005 9:56:23 AM
Glad to hear from the proud papa, thought there would be more on fathering.. truely happy to read a blog from you Billy......
Comment from Grandpa Noone on 9/20/2005 1:57:45 PM
You were right to fear Michigan State!

Billy, I saw a really good ND game the other day and was cheering for ya.
Nutty for Notre Dame - September 5, 2005
So I'm tired of asking Bill to update his blog! So again, I'm posting for him. Plus I couldn't resist adding something about Bill's crazy obsession with ND football. You all know he's nuts, right?!? Well I can't wait to see how crazy Ryan will be considering the early start he's getting. I mean come on just look at the poor kid! :)
Thankfully Notre Dame won their first game against Pittsburgh, 42-21. If they didn't win Bill would still be crying and whining that it's going to be a bad season.
Now check out the video and you tell me what our sons first words will be. The scary thing is it kind of sounds like "Go Irish". Oh God, I'm in for a long football season!!
Just click on the video to start playing. Give it some time it may need a second to load.
The First Feeding! - July 6, 2004
Roni here, posting for Bill again. Don't let him fool you, he knew the site was up! Anyway, I thought it was big news that Bill finally got to feed Ryan. I've been breastfeeding since day one but on the 4th of July I finally needed a break and Bill got to feed his son, I thought it was a precious moment.
Comment from Louis Biggie on 7/8/2005 5:39:00 PM
.. and who feeds Bill?
Comment from GERRI on 8/30/2005 5:29:31 PM
HEY BILL, WHATS THE STORY????? WHERE IS YOUR BLOG?
My First Post - June 26, 2005
Hey, just found out we have a web site. Cool! In honor of this discovery, I figured I'd make my first post...
As you can possibly guess, it has been pretty hectic around the household lately. Roni and I are adjusting to life as parents! I know it's scary but I actually fathered a son. Regular visitors to this site probably are waiting for my thoughts on the whole labor thing. If you fall into this category, what are doing visiting this website on a regular basis? Seriously, you need to get a life! Just kidding (kinda)!
Any who, labor was really boring for a day and a half and then real exciting for two and half hours. I don't know how it is done at other hospitals but they really didn't put up a curtain, so I had a front row seat for everything (really front row). And you have to look, you just can't resist. I saw some birth videos before and was grossed out, but this wasn't that disgusting. I guess it's different when it's your kid. In fact, it was really cool. Overall, I think I handled the situation cool as a cucumber. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Now, it's time to do some parenting. So far everything has been going great! Ryan has his days and nights mixed up but it isn't that bad. In the last 11 days, I got a lot accomplished. First, I went over the birds and the bees. That was nerve-racking, but I'm glad its out of the way. I'm pretty sure Ryan understood everything I had to say because he kept shaking his head up and down. Of course, he hasn't really mastered the whole neck thing yet.
I also taught Ryan how to take out the garbage. He must be in his bratty stage because even though he knows what night to take it out, he hasn't done it yet. I learned from Super Nanny that you have to be consistent, so I'm just going to wait him out. He'll back down once the smell starts getting to him.
Tomorrow, he learns to cut the grass. Anyway, that's the update. I'm out.
Comment from andrea on 7/9/2005 8:56:00 AM
Very amusing commentary on the first few weeks of parenting. You have him doing all chores, but can he catch a football yet and swing a golf club? Get on the ball, dad!
We'll See!! - June 8, 2005
Well Bill informed me today that he is going to update his area of the site by journalizing his experience during my labor. We'll see! He may actually be motivated enough to do it just to make fun of me. So stay tuned and Bill may add his two cents yet!
No News is Good News - May 22, 2005
Bill just informed me that he probably wouldn't be able to keep up with his blog section. Soooo, I get to do it for him! You know what that means. I get to have my fun poking fun at him, which I think is good news. I'm sure it will be much more entertaining with my spin on his weekly activities.
